El Arcabuz, Civil Registry Marriage Records 1925 to 1950

In 1925 a second Civil Registration office was created in Arcabuz for the Municipality of Mier. In this year Arcabuz started to record the marriages for almost half of this municipality. The date listed in these records is the date that the marriage or presentation was recorded. There are 530 weddings , 47 Presentations, and 5 Foreign Presentations. Foreign presentations are announcements of couples intending to get married in neighboring towns. In total we have 582 records listed in this book.

Also note that this book is a listing of every wedding that was recorded in Arcabuz, it does not mean that the wedding took place in Arcabuz. Even though most did many of them were conducted in the ranches surrounding Arcabuz.

These ranches include but are not limited to: Buenavista, El Ranchito, El Rodeo, Las Chapanecas, Rancho de la Sandia, Rancho de los Garcia, Rancho de los Naranjos, Rancho de los Treviños, Rancho de Magueyes, Rancho de Santa Teresa, Rancho la Lomita, Rancho los Guajillos, Rancho Nuevo, Rancho Viejo ,San Antonio de Reyna, and Tres Palmas.
